Weather during April
I've spent a decent amount of time in Venice in April, and would say that it's definitely a good time to visit. Unlike the summer months, the temperatures are comfortable for lots of exploring. I'd suggest a light rain jacket and umbrella, as it can absolutely pour with rain. Oh and good, waterproof shoes or trainers. When the sun comes out, it's very pleasant - especially towards the end of the month.

Weather during November
Temperatures aren't the hottest in November, with highs of about 13°C. The colder temperature brings about some rain which can cause the canals in Venice to flood so be prepared. The later in November you go the colder it will get and the more chance of snow

Weather during December
Venice was much colder in December than I expected! I only took my big, puffer winter coat, initially as I walked out the hotel I wish I'd taken my fancier trench coat but after 30 minutes and for the rest of the day, I was very happy I was in my thick winter coat! Venice gets very foggy in the colder months and we started our day with fog surrounding the canals but after lunch time the sun came out with blue skies before setting early at 4:00pm and then the fog returned!
