Sometimes the rain only lasts for half an hour, but sometimes it goes on for the entire day. I visited Mallorca in March a couple of years ago and half of the time in rained, whilst the other half was very sunny. The average temperature in Mallorca in March is 17 degrees Celsius.

What should I pack for a holiday in Mallorca during March?
Don't forget to pack a rain coat, as well as layers, as the weather is quite unpredictable. Also, many hotels in Palma don't have heating, so bring a long sleeves pajama. Good shoes are a must, especially if you want to hike around the National Parks of the island.

What's great about Mallorca in March?
There are very few tourists in Mallorca in March. Even if the weather might not be the best, it is worth travelling here to experience the most beautiful beaches on the island without the crowds. You can have popular places like Cala Figuera or Cala Mondrago all to yourself. Hiring a car in March is also so much cheaper and the roads outside of Palma de Mallorca are empty. There are also plenty of free car parks around the island, as the big hotels in resorts are not open yet, so you can use their car parks for free if you hire a car.

The temperature reaches around 16℃ during the daytime in March, falling away to 10℃ at night. The UV index will be moderate at this time of year, so not something to worry about for the average person. However, if you're going to be outside for long periods it's worth wearing a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and UV-blocking sunglasses. Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand increase UV exposure.
