The temperature slowly builds in Mallorca during March, but the island still has a fresh feel. The Mediterranean sea remains cold and the weather fairly damp. We've looked at the most up-to-date weather data for Mallorca, covering the last 12 years up to 2024, plus we've asked our team of travel bloggers for their first-hand experiences in order to answer the most frequently asked questions about Mallorca weather in March.

What's the weather like in Mallorca in March?

The World in My Pocket The weather in Mallorca can be unpredictable in March. Whilst there are plenty of sunny days, there are also quite a few rainy days. And when it rains in Mallorca, it pours. Sometimes the rain only lasts for half an hour, but sometimes it goes on for the entire day. I visited Mallorca in March a couple of years ago and half of the time in rained, whilst the other half was very sunny. The average temperature in Mallorca in March is 17 degrees Celsius. What should I pack for a holiday in Mallorca during March?

The World in My Pocket Don't forget to pack a rain coat, as well as layers, as the weather is quite unpredictable. Also, many hotels in Palma don't have heating, so bring a long sleeves pajama. Good shoes are a must, especially if you want to hike around the National Parks of the island. Answered by The World in My Pocket

What's great about Mallorca in March?

The World in My Pocket There are very few tourists in Mallorca in March. Even if the weather might not be the best, it is worth travelling here to experience the most beautiful beaches on the island without the crowds. You can have popular places like Cala Figuera or Cala Mondrago all to yourself. Hiring a car in March is also so much cheaper and the roads outside of Palma de Mallorca are empty. There are also plenty of free car parks around the island, as the big hotels in resorts are not open yet, so you can use their car parks for free if you hire a car.
