April is a beautiful month in Mallorca. The island begins to stir from its winter lull. The sea remains cold, but the temperature builds through the month and life returns to the larger resorts. We've looked at the most up-to-date weather data for Mallorca, covering the last 12 years up to 2024, plus we've asked our team of travel bloggers for their first-hand experiences in order to answer the most frequently asked questions about Mallorca weather in April.

What's the weather like in Mallorca in April?

Travel Vixta We were very lucky to have clear blue skies and sunshine, making it very warm for our trip to Mallorca in April. Like springtime in the UK, however, this isn’t always the case, and the weather can be unpredictable with some showers or cloud cover making it feel much cooler. If the sun is out though, you can easily sunbathe and catch a tan, it’s that warm! Answered by Travel Vixta

What should I pack for a holiday in mallorca in April?

Travel Vixta Check the weather before you go as it can be unpredictable at this time of year. As we lucked out with the weather and had sunshine for our whole trip, we lived in t-shirts and shorts and were able to sunbathe on the beach or our balcony every day. In the evenings I wore summer dresses with a light cardigan and small fashion scarf and was plenty warm enough. My partner wore a long sleeve shirt with shorts for the evenings. Make sure you pack a raincoat though and some extra layers just in case you aren't as lucky as we were! Answered by Travel Vixta

What's great about Mallorca in April?

Travel Vixta As we went out of the main summer season, and out of the school holidays, we found the resort to be really quiet. This was great for us as we were practically the only ones on the beach! If you’re lucky enough to have clear skies and sunshine, then the sunsets are amazing to watch at this time of year and at a great time too. We had a balcony overlooking the sea and watched amazing sunsets every evening as we got ready to head out for dinner. Answered by Travel Vixta

What's the temperature like in Mallorca during April?

The temperature reaches around 19℃ during the daytime in April, falling away to 12℃ at night. The UV index will be moderate at this time of year, so not something to worry about for the average person. However, if you're going to be outside for long periods it's worth wearing a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and UV-blocking sunglasses. Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand increase UV exposure.

Does it rain in Mallorca during April?

On average, there will be 3 rainy days during the month, amounting to 51.0mm in total. That's broadly comparable with the amount of rain we see in England during the summer months, and would be considered dry. There's a small chance that you'll catch a thunderstorm during your trip.

Is it windy in Mallorca during April?

You're unlikely to experience any strong winds. Expect a gentle breeze that increases to moderate at times during April. With moderate air temperatures, any breeze will feel cool.

How warm is the sea in Mallorca during April?

The water around Mallorca is a bracing 16℃ during April and would be considered too cold for swimming. Those who are a bit more hardy or frequently swim in cooler open water might want to take a quick dip. A wetsuit would be advisable if you wish to spend longer than 5 minutes in the water.
