Europes top destinations in 2017

Wondering where in Europe to spend your holidays this year? What are the European destinations you need to see? Let’s check out the top ‘unmissable’ spots for 2017:

France

Visitors can explore France’s natural and cultural attractions this year, a range of new tourism incentives on offer. The country boasts exciting attractions, including the Museum of Modern Art. You can attend the Côte-d’Azur garden festival, from 1 April to 1 May.

If you head to Monaco in May, you’ll experience the action-packed “Grand Prix”. Additionally, France is home to a bustling food scene, not to mention incredible wines. For example, you can enjoy world-renowned restaurants, in romantic Paris. Bordeaux and the surrounding area is a region where you’ll find exquisite wine-tasting opportunities. Hiring a luxury car in France, as you can see here will help make your visit easy and as memorable as it can be.

Finland

Don’t miss Finland when planning your upcoming adventures, with great lake views, lush landscapes, refreshing saunas and beautiful natural wonders. Join in with activities the locals love, including swimming, fishing and BBQing. Marvel at the Northern Lights, for incredible scenery.

Celebrate 100 years of independence on 6 December 2017, which will take place in Helsinki. For outdoor lovers, Levi is a nature lover’s paradise, especially during winter. There are more than enough leisure activities to fill your day in Levi, including ice fishing expeditions and reindeer safaris.

Portugal

Portugal still remains hot throughout 2017. Portugal features dozens of excellent museums and galleries. Travellers can explore local art and heritage at the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga and at the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum. Other great activities include admiring the Oceanšrio de Lisboa, a family-friendly attraction, and visiting the Bom Jesus do Monte, the country’s grandest religious sanctuary.

There are also plenty of places to soak up the sun, including some of the world’s most beautiful, white-sand beaches. One of the best beaches is Praia da Adraga in Sintra, which is perfect for surfing, walking and watching sunsets. The Troia Peninsula in Setúbal attracts all types of sun worshippers, for a relaxing day by the sea. You can even discover dolphins, via numerous boat trips on offer.

Spain

Spain dazzles with spectacular cities and vibrant beaches. Why not plan your next adventure in Barcelona? Barcelona is renowned for its bars, cafés and architecture. Opt for the Crema Catalana tasting in the city and indulge in delicious local tapas, at one of many delectable restaurants. Visiting the Picasso museum is a ‘must see’, as it’s home to a huge collection of Picasso’s work. Moreover, take a tour of the beautiful Santa Maria del Mar, one of the attractions nearby.

Discover Granada’s Alhambra, which is the most visited heritage site in Spain. If you fancy some city action, drive through the Old Arab Town from the Albaicín. While Granada boasts a number of wonderful attractions, Madrid should also sit at the top of your list. The city is packed full of historic sites, with monuments and museums vying for attention with an exceptional shopping and dining scene.
