What should I pack for a holiday in Malta in May?
As Malta is fairly mild in May, pack a selection of short-sleeved tops or shirts, light trousers and/or shorts, jeans, dresses or skirts, in addition to a light jacket or raincoat. For footwear, bring sandals and trainers, so you'll have something suitable to wear on your feet during all kinds of weather, and activities.

As we haven't yet reached the height of summer, the climate is pleasantly mild, while Malta is quieter, and less-crowded. You might find that major tourist attractions are less busy during this time of the year, for example (although bear in mind that some may only open during peak season).

What's the temperature like in Malta during May?
The temperature is extremely stable in May with average highs of 20℃ and lows just 2℃ lower at 18℃. The UV index will be moderate at this time of year, so not something to worry about for the average person. However, if you're going to be outside for long periods it's worth wearing a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and UV-blocking sunglasses. Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand increase UV exposure.
