How hot is it in Mumbai during May?

Expect heat in Mumbai during May. The temperature hits about 33℃ during the day, falling away to a balmy 28℃ at night. Of course, the high humidity will make it feel even hotter. The UV index will be very high at this time of year, so you'll need to protect your eyes and skin. Avoid sun exposure between 10am and 4pm where possible. If outdoors, find shade, wear sun-protective clothing, wear UV-blocking sunglasses and generously apply broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every hour or so. Don't be fooled by cloudy skies! Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand will increase UV exposure.

Does it rain in Mumbai during May?

On average, in May you'll see rain on just one day in the month. In other words, you shouldn't see any of the wet stuff. Due to the high temperature and humidity, you might expect lots of thunderstorms, however they're actually fairly infrequent at this time of year. On average, May will see just 2 days that produce a storm.

Is it windy in Mumbai during May?

You're unlikely to experience any strong winds. Expect a light breeze that picks up slightly at times in May. The high humidity and warm temperature will make the breeze feel warm, so any cooling effect will be limted.

However, the 60-day visa did work well as 2 months is a good amount of time to spend...
