We have eight wins and one prize update this week…

New winners

Two of the members in our Travel Competitions Facebook group won prizes they couldn’t use and kindly gifted them to other group members…

Cath won a pair of tickets to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The Musical at the Liverpool Empire and dinner for 2 at Stoke Restaurant in Liverpool, and she gave them to Claire, the first group member to respond to her message offering them out.

Sharon also gave away her prize theatre tickets “In the spirit of showing gratitude for all the wonderful comps posted here” - to group member Alison who will be seeing Everybody’s Talking About Jamie in Brighton. This was a competition we featured in the Sunday emails at the beginning of September.

Matthias had his first Instagram competition win of a £1,000 hotel voucher.

Kathryn was announced as the lucky winner of the Daily Mail and Jet2 I Have A Dream: Mamma Mia! competition and will be enjoying a 7-night holiday to Santorini.

Mary won a stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa

Nikki won a competition we featured in the Sunday emails back in August, although she was the only one of the three runners-up to respond to her winning email from the prize provider… “I have my first win! …two tickets to see The Time Travellers Wife at The Apollo Theatre through a C2C competition. It’s one of three runners up prizes so no hotel or travel included but a win is a win! They have said that the other two winners haven’t responded to their emails so please check your inbox. Just need to win a night in a hotel in London before we go…”

Jo has won an Autumn break for 4 in Eastbourne. She’ll be spending 3 nights Exclusively Eastbourne’s self-catering apartment set in Gresham House.

Be careful who you tag in your competition entry…

Donna tagged group member Gillian (one of her “tagging friends”) in a Coast & Country Parks competition and the two were then announced as winners and wished a wonderful holiday together. Fortunately for Donna, as the main “tagger” it looks like she can take people she actually knows. The prize is 4 nights for 4 in a tranquil riverside setting luxury lodge in Saltash, Cornwall, plus a Cornish Autumnal hamper.

Prizewinner updates

Finally this week, Jane updated us after returning from her prize-winning stay at Tewkesbury Park: “I was the winner of a 2 night stay in an Opulent Suite at Tewkesbury Park, way back in June and have just returned. A huge thank you to Condé Nast Johansens… We had a fantastic room with wonderful views over the golf course and towards the Cotswolds. The bottle of Hattingley Valley Blanc de Blancs was much appreciated. The hotel staff were so friendly, everything was amazing… We managed to drive around some of the Cotswold villages and despite mixed weather the autumn colours made everything just perfect. This was our first visit to the area and I cannot recommend it enough, if you have a chance to visit, take it!”
