How hot is it in Oman during May?
Expect heat in Oman during May. The temperature hits about 42℃ during the day, falling away to a balmy 29℃ at night. The UV index will be very high at this time of year, so you'll need to protect your eyes and skin. Avoid sun exposure between 10am and 4pm where possible. If outdoors, find shade, wear sun-protective clothing, wear UV-blocking sunglasses and generously apply broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every hour or so. Don't be fooled by cloudy skies! Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand will increase UV exposure.
Does it rain in Oman during May?
The answer is no. Oman is typically bone dry in May. You're not likely to see a thunderstorm during your trip.
