Mykonos is an incredibly trendy destination and it's common to see people get really dressed up to have their photos taken, particularly at sunset. So you'll want to pack your best outfits, but be sure to include comfortable shoes as shy-high heels just won't work on the cobbled streets. It can get a little chilly in the evening in October so bring a cardigan, shawl or light jacket. And be sure to pack your swimwear and sunglasses for the daytime, as well as your shorts, t-shirts and summer dresses.

The UV index will be moderate at this time of year, so not something to worry about for the average person. However, if you're going to be outside for long periods it's worth wearing a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and UV-blocking sunglasses. Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand increase UV exposure.
