What's the weather like in Krakow in May?

A Rose Tinted World In May, the weather in Kracow is known to be quite mixed. I actually packed a mixture of clothes, light summer clothes and layers in case it was cold, with a light raincoat and umbrella in case it rained. Luckily, during our stay we got very little in the way of rain, and it was warm enough to just wear a cardigan through the day. A coat was still needed in the day as it did get quite chilly. What should I pack for a holiday in Krakow in May?

A Rose Tinted World Do pack a few layers and a light raincoat. But also pack really good walking shoes as there is so much to see in and around this gorgeous historic city, from the shops, market square and Wawel Castle in Kracow itself, to visiting the Wieliczka Salt Mines and Auschwitz museums in the surrounding region. We managed to walk 20,000 steps on a couple of the days we visited. Answered by A Rose Tinted World

What's great about Krakow in May?

A Rose Tinted World May is a great time to visit as I imagine that during the summer and children's summer holidays it can get very busy with tourists, yet when we visited in May it was a lovely temperature to sightsee and not too busy that you couldn't walk up and be seated in some of the bars and restaurants. At certain places, such as when we were visiting Wawel Castle and climbing one of the towers, we were the only couple present. The fact it wasn't so busy was a real bonus for me. The temperature definitely dropped below freezing every night – which was the perfect excuse to get cosy in a bar and drink mulled wine to warm up! Despite the cold, we also got some bursts of sunshine – although we also experienced a dusting of snow on one of the evenings we were there....

And you will not be able to turn back.” The man stands cloaked in a long charcoal jacket, blowing on his hands to keep warm. For a giant-sized man, he uses a soft voice.
