Skiathos is a tiny Greek isle that packs a mighty punch when it comes to scenery. With some of the best beaches in the Aegean, crystal clear waters and an emerald countryside, it's no wonder that this island has become a favourite of the in-crowd. Take a trip to Troulos, a sleepy village on the south coast, for a sweeping bay and a cluster of Greek tavernas. The island's capital, Skiathos Town, is a must-visit for the fashionable set. With whitewashed buildings spread over two hills, two huge yacht harbours and designer shopping and nightlife, it's no surprise that it's been a favourite of the likes of Kate Moss, Goldie Hawn, and was chosen as a film location for the smash hit film Mamma Mia! It's also a great base for exploring the neighbouring islands, with Skopelos, another Mamma Mia film location, only an hour's ferry ride away, and Athens easily reachable by plane or boat.
