Valentine's Day TUI flights to Vietnam at £239pp return from £239pp

Fancy going to Vietnam for Valentine's Day? It's a bit of a random choice, but now might be the time to sweep your bae off East. TUI are currently offering an amazing deal on their weekly service from London Gatwick::

  • Depart February 14th
  • Return March 1st
  • £239pp
  • London Gatwick departure
  • Direct flights
  • TUI Boeing 787 Dreamliner

The deal includes hand luggage and meals/drinks, but if you want to check a bag into the hold you'll have to pay an extra £60 per 20kg suitcase.

Hotels are cheap in Vietnam. Take a look at Kayak here and you'll find plenty of decent hotels that can come in around £1,000 for two weeks, bringing in the price per person at around £739.

Airbnb properties are even cheaper. I found plenty of villas and apartments with pools for around £30 per night. That would reduce your per person price below £500. Amazing value! Check out our beginners guide to Airbnb and be sure to sign up using this link to get a £15 credit towards your first stay.

Important: Prices are correct at the time of publishing, however they are subject to change at any time depending on availability. Some promotional prices will be strictly limited by tour operators or airlines. Special terms and conditions may apply.

Vietnam's Central Highlands by motorbike

31st January 2015 by Follow Me East

Technically, you're not supposed to ride motorbikes in Vietnam without a local license, but getting one involves a written and practical test. Fortunately, licenses are of little concern to the rental operators who shrug off such details with comments like "Just stick to the speed limits and the police won't stop you". I pointed out that the speedometer, amongst other things, did not work and he quickly moved on to show me how the headlights function. Having ridden for about a decade now,...
