Both of these beautiful all-inclusive resorts have stunning white sand beaches and intimate dining experiences, but we know the subtle differences that will help you choose one island over the other.

Thudufushi is popular with divers and its social atmosphere makes it great for single travellers or meeting new people. Where Thudufushi comes into its own is diving. Its location on the outer edge of the South Ari Atoll means you’ll have easy access to some fantastic dive sites, where large marine life including dolphins can be spotted.

Athuruga has a barefoot-luxe vibe that makes it great for a honeymoon and it has the edge when it comes to snorkelling. The dedicated channels in the beautiful coral gardens mean you’ll discover excellent snorkelling straight from the beach. The water here is much calmer and we’ve spotted turtles, eels and eagle rays without even venturing beyond the house reef.

We’re giving away a seven-night stay on one of these incredible islands, which includes meals in the buffet restaurant, drinks and a restocked mini bar each day.
